Clockwork Card.

Monday, August 30, 2010

I recently bought the Cuttlebug clockwork embossing folding as it's one of the ones that 5x7" and thought it would be good to use it on a male card.

I used Tim Holtz distress ink in Broken China on the outside, Vintage photo on the sentiment and versamagic seabreeze ink on the clock in the centre.

I added a few buttons to add a bit of dimension and especially liked the button on the centre of the clock as it has only one hole and I thought that was a bit unusual but perfect for the clock.

Similar but different.

These two cards came about because I found two pieces of kraft cardstock that I had left over from a couple of cards and were already embossed using the cuttlebug folders divine swirl (top card) and daisy (bottom card) and decided to create 2 cards around them.

This first card is alot more inked up than the second as I went a little ink crazy, but I think it still looks good.

I used Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo to ink the edges and I used the wavy edge on my Purple Cows trimmer to cut the card for the sentiment.

Happy 50th Birthday card.

This is a card that I made for one of my sister in laws to give to a friend.

I made it using the Making Memories Just Chillin boy papers and continued my usual male theme of using stars.

I used the Staz On ink in Timber Brown and I was impressed how clear it was. This is the first time I had used this pad as I usually use the chalk inks but will definitely be using this ink pad more. I haven't been crafting for THAT long so I'm still trying to get used to things but I'm getting there.

Video of Congratulations Card.

This is a video I made of a congratulations card. It is my first video so it isn't brilliant but hopefully it will get better.

A card for Elliott.

This is a birthday card that I made for one of my nephews.

I always find masculine cards harder to make than feminine cards but they always seem to come together in the end.

The one thing I have noticed is I quite often put stars on masculine cards.

The patterned paper is from Making Memories Just Chillin paper pad.

"Beautiful" birthday card

This is a card that I was going to make a video for but I decided that it would be too boring so I decided to post it on the blog with what it's made from.

The patterned paper is from K and Co Amy Butler papers apart from the scallop circle. The stamp is from Paula Pascual's stamps and I somehow managed not to stamp it straight even though I'm sure that I put it on the block straight. Oh well.
I added some embroidery thread instead of ribbon and added some white liquid pearl to the butterfly.
I think the embroidery thread give it a nice effect.
