Stationery Box

Thursday, June 17, 2010

This stationery box is one I adapted from ones that are on you tube. I made it as a present for a friend's birthday. I really enjoy making little sets of cards and this one went abit further.

I had to alter the size of the box as I couldn't get my cards and envelopes to fit inside and also decided to make it abit simpler leaving off the extra items on the flap.

I decided I would make 5 cards and added the envelopes, made 6 gift tags and added a post it note pad.

It all turned out really well except if I did it again I would use thicker paper for the box to make it abit sturdier.
See you soon.

Organiser

Quite often, when reading another blog that has something paper crafty to make on it, I will give it a go. This time it was after reading Jennifer Morris's blog that I thought I would give this a go.

What is it you asked, well it is an organiser that you can use as a menu planner, diary, to do list, notepad or maybe all the above, whatever you like really.
This is the back of the organiser. I just used patterned paper on the front and a piece of purple card on the back which matches the flowers on the front.

I made it a couple of months ago but still haven't created any A5 sheets to put on it though. I can't quite decide what to use it for.

A present for my sister in law.

For my sister in law birthday I decided to make her a birthday card and present. First off the card. For some reason I didn't take a picture of it. I'm still learning to remember to take a photo of the cards and projects I make, but I did remember to take some photos of the presents I made.

I altered a  notebook and covered it with card and ribbon and punched some butterflies and attached them down one side.

Next I covered a coaster with patterned paper, added a post it note pad, covered a binder clip and inserted some patterned into a pen and voila, a really nice present.

Also I covered some binder clips and popped them into a glassine bag. I didn't stop there though, next I decided to make a set of cards for her to give to others. I made 6 cards for her which were all embossed using cuttlebug embossing folders, which I thought they were quite simple but smart.

I gave my sister in law her present a couple of weeks ago as I wouldn't be seeing her again before her birthday and hopefully she will like them when she does open them.
