More Masculine Cards

Thursday, January 26, 2012

Today I have a few more masculine cards. I have been gaining more inspiration for masculine cards and when I was editing the photos, I realised that I even managed to make one without stars!

Paper: My Minds Eye Lime Twist Out of the Blue | Stamp: American Crafts Birthday | Border Punch:Fiskars Uppercrest | Twine: Homespun from the Heart-ebay | Brads: local craft shop

The next two cards I made some 3D stars. To make them you simply score down from the points of the star and crease them to make them 3D. I really like this effect.

Paper: My Minds Eye Lime Twist Out of the Blue | Stamp: My Pink Stamper: Fabulous Phrases + American Crafts | Border Punch: Fiskars Uppercrest | Twine: Donna Flower | Buttons: Local craft shop | Embossing Folder: Cuttlebugs Stripes.

Paper: My Minds Eye Lime Twist Fly a kite | Stamp: My Pink Stamper Fabulous phrases | Border Punch: Fiskars Uppercrest | Twine: Donna Flower | Label: Spellbinders Nestabilities Label One | Buttons: American Crafts + Sew Sweet | Embossing Folder: Cuttlebugs Number Collage.

Hope these cards give some inspiration to those who find making masculine cards a bit difficult.
Have a great day.

Loving kioshi colours.

Thursday, January 19, 2012

I really like the combination of the colours on the Basic Grey Kioshi papers and for this card I chose to use 2 papers, one lighter and one darker.
I like to add stitching and so I added a line all the way around the outside and a zigzag line between the two patterned papers.
Adding some simple buttons and a sentiment makes it a simple card, just a bit time consuming with the stitching.

Paper - Basic Grey Kioshi.
Stamp - My Pink Stamper Fabulous phrases.
Thread - Sew Easy.
Buttons - Local craft shop.
Die - Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4.

Embossed cupcake card

Tuesday, January 17, 2012

I recently bought the craft concept cupcake embossing folder and decided to use it on this card. These folders are slightly cheaper than the Cuttlebug ones but work just as well.
I decided to use kraft card with the embossing folder and added some stickles to the cakes to make some of the sparkle.
I used a simple butterfly sticker and some punched flowers and added some gems to embellish.

Paper - Echo Park Summer Days.
Stamp - American Crafts Birthday.
Sticker - American Crafts Remarks Cheerful stickers.
Embossing folder - Craft Concept Cupcakes.
Ink - Colorbox Lavender.
Glitter - Crystal stickles.
Border punch - Xcut.
Brads, gems, flower punch - local craft shop.

Couple of masculine cards

Monday, January 16, 2012

I have made quite a few cards over the last few months but have yet to post them on the blog, so I thought that I would start with a couple of masculine cards.

These two cards are ones that I made for one our brother in law's birthday last year. They both have stars and embossed backgrounds as that's seems to be standard pattern with male cards that I make!

Stamp - My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases'.
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug candy stripes.
Stars - template.
Twine - Donna Flower.
Button and hemp twine - local craft shop.

Paper - My Mind's Eye out of the blue and Basic Grey Max and Whiskers.
Stamp - My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases'.
Border punch - Fiskars threading water punch.
Stars - Fiskars punch.
Labels - Nestabilities label one.
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug stars.

See you soon for some more cards.
