Happy Mother's Day

As today is mother's day in the UK I thought I would make my mum a card as I haven't made many recently and thought it was about time I made one.
As I have recently bought the new Clearly Besotted word dies, I really wanted to use the Happy on the card so chose to use the small mother's day stamp from Paula Pascual's All Year Round set to go with it.
I went with the lovely red and blue papers from the American Crafts Soho Garden collection and one of the love heart stamps from Clearly Besotted.
I have also bought the lovely pack of assorted sequins from Doodlebug and chose to use the clear sequins on this card to add some dimension.
I really like the combination of the red white and blue on this card and think it looks quite smart.

Today's card is one of the cards that I mentioned previously that I had made before I gave birth but hadn't gotten around to posting.
For this card I went with using circles and stars, which is what I tend to use for male cards. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities circles and cut and emboss the circles and used the sizzix stars in different sizes.
For the sentiment, I used the Clearly Besotted Tag along stamp and stamped it on one of the circles and added stars to the other circles.
The background paper is quite bright orange so I decided to use some kraft card behind it and some more muted patterned paper for the circles.

Baby Amelia

It's been a while since I have posted on the blog as I have been looking after my little girl who is now 7 weeks old. The time has gone so quickly that I didn't get around to posting about it.
Her name is Amelia Grace and was born on the 25th January weighing a big 9lb 4oz. This, however, is smaller than Hollie was at 9lb 14oz!
Here is a picture of Amelia on her way home from hospital at 2 days old.
This is Amelia at 5 weeks.
Obviously I haven't managed to do much crafting recently but hopefully will be able to make some more cards and projects soon, but I do have some cards that I made before I gave birth that I haven't posted on the blog that I will be posting soon.
