A take on the previous card.
Monday, January 24, 2011
This card was made using the same papers as the last card which was from Crate Paper Restoration Collection.
I decided to make this card horizontal and used the Fiskars threading water punch and flowers from EK Success punches.
It's quite a simple card to make but as there are alot of pattern it's makes the card fuller.
Bring on the Summer.

I mentioned in a previous post that I had made some cards to give a part of Christmas presents and the following card is one of those.
The card is made using Crate Papers Restoration Collection. I love the colours in this pack, they are bright and colourful but not to loud.
I also used a 2" circle, 1" flower, Fiskars threading water punches and American Crafts Birthday stamp set.
I have made a couple more cards using this collection as well as a few different collections and will post more soon.
On a side note. I'm so glad that we have some sun here in the U.K as it makes a real difference to the day and it makes me dream of summer. I need a holiday me thinks.
Anyway, Thanks for stopping by.
A Card For My Youngest Nephew.
Thursday, January 13, 2011
Hi everyone,
I made this card for my youngest nephew's birthday in December and realised that I hadn't posted on the blog so here it is. My nephew is 8 so the card needed to be not too childish but not grown up, so here is what I came up with.
The card is 5x7" as I wanted to make more of an impact.
The paper is from Basic grey Max and Whiskers papers, the embossing folder is Cuttlebugs Clockwork and the stamp set is American Crafts Happy Birthday.
In the centre of the embossed image is a clock and I decided to enhance the image by placing a button in the centre and highlighting the numbers.
I like the larger embossing folders as they allow you to cover all of a 4 1/4 x 51/2" card and a 5x7" card and makes it easier if you don't want to cover up the gaps that don't get embossed with a A2 embossing folder, if that makes sense.
Well I still haven't shown the cards that I made for gifts at Christmas so will be doing that soon.
Happy New Year.
Monday, January 03, 2011
First off, I want to wish you all a happy new year. I hope this year is a better one for me as last year was a rough one and I hope it's a great one for everyone also.
So to celebrate the new year I've created 2 more lists to help keep people organised.
The first one is a Daily Planner which will help you to write down the things to do, people to call and places to be. It's a simple planner but will help you get organised if you have a busy day ahead.

The second list is a Blog Ideas List. This list is great to jot down any ideas you have or come across that you might want to consider for your blog.

So I hope these help you out as I have started using more checklists including these and I really hope I will be more organised this year as this button below is definitely me!
