A card for my sister.
Thursday, March 24, 2011
It was my sisters birthday a couple of weeks ago and I mentioned last time that I would show you the card I made.
It wasn't really my best effort, as I have a love/hate relationship with card making at the moment, but it was o.k.
I decided to stamp hearts on the background as my sister is constantly asking me to write 'love you' on her Facebook wall, but it's not like she doesn't have friends.
Anyway, I just added a few pearls to some of the hearts to add dimension.
The papers are from Crate Papers Restoration collection and Dovecraft's Eastern Promise and the stamps were from American Crafts.
She really liked the card and it kind of spurred me on to make some more, so hopefully I will show you the results soon.
Meanwhile, I have a few projects I've had on the go that I will show you soon. One is a sewing project and the other is a organisational project.
Blue and Yellow Spot Butterfly Card

.
There seems to have been a lot of birthdays recently, so I have been busy making cards. Some of the cards were from my stash but most of the others I made but managed to forget to take a picture. Clever me!
My sisters birthday was last week and I did managed to take a photo of her card and I will post that one soon.
This is one of the many cards I have made recently.
The background on this card is made using the Swiss Dots Embossing folder, I think it makes the plain card stand out.
The papers are from Crate Papers Restoration collection, the butterflies are Martha Stewart and the stamp is from Personal Impressions.

It was my daughters birthday on Friday and she was 3. I can't believe how fast time flies though. Funny thing is she has was born 5 days late and was born on her fathers birthday.
We got her a bike which she loves and got her a peppa pig cake, which she also loved. She also got lots of presents from family and friends but she got about the right amount of presents, which rarely happens for any child, I know.
Well I still have a few cards left to show you that I made for gifts so today I'm going to show you 2 of them.
The first one is purple and green and what seems to be my current favourite way to do bows, in 3's.
The papers are from Basic Grey Kioshi collection and the stamp is from Papermania's Clare Curd stamps and I just put the two squares on foam squares to add dimension.
My second card has a lot more pattern on it.
The papers for this card are from Basic Grey's Lemonade collection apart from the heart which is from Making Memories Just Chillin' Girl Collection and the stamp is from the set as the first card, Papermania's Clare Curd stamps. I used an 2" scallop circle punch, 1" and 2" flower punch from EK Success.
Happy Valentines Day.
3 little butterflies and 3 little flowers card.
Wednesday, February 02, 2011
Well I have been busy trying to make things to go in the shop and have gotten really into sewing which I'm sure will be dangerous as I keep seeing ideas of things I would like to try to make. Could be interesting to see how these things turn out.
So the next card has 3 little butterflies and 3 little flowers on it.
For this card I decided to use three strips of paper down the card, add the ribbon and bow on one piece of paper, the pearl butterflies on another and left the 3rd piece plain.
Under the strips of paper I decided to add the greeting and the 3 stamped flowers with the green rhinestones.
The paper is fron Basic Grey Kioshi collection except the butterflies and the stamps is American Crafts Happy Birthday.
Thanks for stoppin by.
A take on the previous card.

This card was made using the same papers as the last card which was from Crate Paper Restoration Collection.
I decided to make this card horizontal and used the Fiskars threading water punch and flowers from EK Success punches.
It's quite a simple card to make but as there are alot of pattern it's makes the card fuller.
Bring on the Summer.

I mentioned in a previous post that I had made some cards to give a part of Christmas presents and the following card is one of those.
The card is made using Crate Papers Restoration Collection. I love the colours in this pack, they are bright and colourful but not to loud.
I also used a 2" circle, 1" flower, Fiskars threading water punches and American Crafts Birthday stamp set.
I have made a couple more cards using this collection as well as a few different collections and will post more soon.
On a side note. I'm so glad that we have some sun here in the U.K as it makes a real difference to the day and it makes me dream of summer. I need a holiday me thinks.
Anyway, Thanks for stopping by.
